Why do I need cloud sync?
As you work with Spotlight FX, you create your own workflows, set your settings, like and download items and so on. We sync these "events" to your account so when you log in next time, all you preferences, downloaded items, likes etc. are automatically updated. Even if you change computers, or move from Mac to Windows (or vice-versa).
What exactly is synced?
Things like liked items, Spotlight FX settings, individual app settings (including their position on your dashboard) are all synced. List of downloaded items is also synced so you will be able to quickly re-download your items on a new machine.
How is this different from Adobe Creative Cloud?
Our sync is completely separate from Adobe Creative Cloud. Think of it this way: Everything within Spotlight FX = synced to your account. Everything outside of Spotlight FX = not synced to your Spotlight FX account. Easy peasy, right? For example, your After Effects settings are not synced, but your Spotlight FX settings are.
