Spotlight FX intelligent import looks at your timeline and predicts: 1. what type of item you're trying to use 2. how you're trying to use it. For example, when importing transitions, Spotlight FX finds the exact point where your footage meets and align the imported item with frame-by-frame precision
How does Intelligent Import know where to place transitions?
The feature reads your timeline and selected layers. If you have multiple layers selected, it applies transitions to those selections, even if they're spread out. If no layers are selected, it uses your playhead position as a guide.
Does this work with all types of transitions in Spotlight FX?
Yes, this feature works with all transitions available in Spotlight FX. Whether you're using a simple fade or a complex 3D transition, Intelligent Import handles it all.
