We Just Made It Way Easier to Rebuild Great Edits

Ever seen an effect or transition and thought, “Okay… but how exactly did they make that?”
Yeah, same.

That’s exactly why we built the Re-Create section. It’s a new part of Spotlight FX that lets you take real edits, actual transitions and effects made with Spotlight FX and break them down piece by piece. No more guessing. No more trying to reverse-engineer what someone did frame by frame.

If you’ve never used Spotlight FX before, it’s a plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects that lets you drag-and-drop professional effects, transitions, elements and use many workflow scripts (without spending hours building them from scratch). You can try it out here.

What Changed

You’ll now find a brand-new Re-Create section inside the app.
It’s a growing library of real edits you can open up, pick apart, and rebuild inside your timeline.

The Re-Create section is useful whether you’re:

✅ Trying to reverse-engineer a complex transition
✅ Looking for layout ideas or timing tricks
✅ Learning how to build scenes in Premiere or After Effects
✅ Just short on time and want to grab a finished structure that works

Why It Matters

This isn’t just about copying someone else’s edit. It’s about learning by doing.

Each re-create comes with:

• A preview of the final look
• A list of assets used in the scene
• A step-by-step breakdown of how it’s structured
• (Optional) a short tutorial if you ever get stuck

You can rebuild it 1:1 or customize it completely.

We added this feature because people kept asking how certain transitions or layouts were made. Some were even screen-recording and recreating them manually. So yeah... this was overdue.

Now you don’t have to guess. Just pick a scene, import it, tweak it, done.
