- Spotlight FX - Get free transitions, effects and workflow tools
Spotlight FX just got a much-needed cleanup. We’ve re-organized everything into new collections, not just by asset type, but by the kind of videos you're actually making. So now, instead of digging through long lists of transitions or overlays, you’ll see grouped kits built around specific project styles.
What Changed
All collections are organized around real-world video styles. Here's a glimpse of what’s already inside:
💼 Startup Product Demo, 📼 90s VHS Aesthetic, 🎥 Found Footage Horror, 🎤 Hip Hop Music Videos, 🌈 Psychedelic Live Show, 💥 Action Movie Trailer, 💍 Wedding Highlight Reel, 🕵️ True Crime Documentary, 📹 YouTube Starter Kit.
Each one includes transitions, overlays, effects, titles. Basically everything you’d want for that kind of edit.
If you’re new: Spotlight FX is a plugin for Premiere Pro and After Effects that gives you ready-made transitions, titles, overlays, and more. Fully customizable and searchable, right inside your editing timeline.
Why It Matters
No more guesswork. If you’re editing a live show or a wedding highlight, you’ll now get a focused set of assets that actually fit that vibe. You’re not stuck trying to adapt a glitch overlay from a meme pack to fit your moody short film anymore. We’re designing these around how people actually use Spotlight FX, not just what looks nice on a grid.
Quick Tip
Some assets appear in more than one Collection. So you might see the same VHS glitch in both the “Found Footage Horror” and “90s VHS Aesthetic” kits. Totally intentional, because sometimes the same effect works across different styles.
What’s Next
We’ve got more collections already in the works, think travel vlogs, digital news kits, minimalist promos, short film looks, and more. If you’re editing a specific kind of video and there’s no Collection for it yet, hit us up. We’re building this around real workflows.
Try It Out
The collections are live now inside Spotlight FX. Go explore your editing style, we probably made a collection for it. And if not? Let us know.
Happy editing! 🎬
