1. License Overview

Spotlight FX grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, modify, and publish assets from our plugin for personal and commercial use only while you hold a valid Premium Asset license or Free Asset access under our Terms & Conditions.

You may use assets:

• In client work, YouTube videos, ads, social media posts, and internal projects
• Across unlimited channels, platforms, and formats
• Without needing attribution

How Premium Asset licenses work

Each time you download a Premium Asset through Spotlight FX, we issue a Premium Asset license (shown as a license in your account and in My Downloads in the plugin). Each license has an expiry date enforced by our systems.

• If you do not pay, you do not have valid Premium Asset licenses on monthly or yearly plans. When your subscription or trial ends, your Premium licenses expire and the plugin blocks use of those assets.
• There is no grace period after a subscription ends. Access stops when the subscription or trial ends.
• Expired licenses may still appear in My Downloads marked as expired. You must hold an active plan and issue a new license (re-download) to use that Premium Asset again.

See our Terms & Conditions for trial, subscription, refund, and Lifetime plan rules. Refunds: trial Premium licenses do not count toward the post-payment limit; only Premium licenses issued after your first paid charge count (max 10 within 14 days).

Free Assets

Free Assets do not require a paid plan. They remain available on the free plan unless we remove them from the catalogue.

Finished exported work (narrow exception)

If you lawfully exported or rendered a Premium Asset into a completed project or final video file while your Premium Asset license was still valid, you may continue using that finished output in client work, social content, ads, and similar projects. That does not give you a permanent license to the raw asset files or ongoing plugin access.

You still may not share or resell raw templates, effects, or project source files as standalone downloads.

Lifetime plan

Only customers on the Lifetime plan receive the one-time purchase terms described on our pricing page and at checkout. Lifetime license rules differ from monthly and yearly subscriptions. A Lifetime plan is not the same as keeping Premium licenses forever after cancelling a subscription.

Grandfathered accounts

Some older accounts may still have access granted under previous terms. New downloads after our license expiry rules took effect follow the terms above, even if older marketing mentioned keeping downloads forever.

2. What You Can Do

• Use assets in personal or commercial work while your Premium Asset license is valid, or while using Free Assets
• Edit, combine, or rework assets in your own videos and designs
• Deliver projects to clients using Spotlight FX assets covered by a valid license
• Access assets via our plugin when your license is active
• Use assets across unlimited platforms (social, print, web, TV, etc.)
• Keep using finished exported or rendered output created while the license was valid, as described in Section 1

3. What You Cannot Do

• Resell or redistribute Spotlight FX assets (as-is or modified)
• Share or re-upload templates, effects, or overlays to marketplaces or download sites
• Use Spotlight FX assets to build a competing plugin, library, or service
• Train AI models or datasets using our content
• Use assets in misleading, unlawful, or harmful content
• Import, open, or use Premium Assets in the plugin after the Premium Asset license has expired (unless you obtain a new valid license with an active plan)
• Treat a past download as permanent access after your subscription or trial has ended (except for the narrow finished-output exception in Section 1)

4. Ownership and Attribution

• All assets are owned by Spotlight FX or licensed from creators under agreement
• You are granted the right to use them under a Premium Asset license or Free Asset access, but you do not own the copyright or raw source files
• No attribution is required, but always appreciated

5. Exported and Modified Files

Assets in Spotlight FX are modified, restructured, or technically optimized by our team to work inside the Spotlight FX ecosystem. These may include AEP files, templates, overlays, transitions, or scripts built from licensed or custom-built components. We never distribute unmodified marketplace files or original creator packs.

In the plugin: Premium Assets with an expired license cannot be used until you resubscribe and obtain a new license.

In completed deliverables: Finished videos or exports you created while the license was valid may continue to be used as described in Section 1, without redistributing raw files.

6. Termination

Spotlight FX may revoke your access if you break these terms or our Terms & Conditions.

When a trial or paid subscription ends, Premium Asset licenses expire as described above. On an approved refund, related Premium Asset licenses expire immediately.

Finished work you created lawfully while a license was valid may still be used as described in Section 1, unless termination is due to your breach of these terms.
