Your workflow just got a serious upgrade. If you’ve ever lost momentum mid-edit because you couldn’t find the right script or had to repeat the same setup task for the tenth time, you’ll get why this matters.
The new Toolbox panel in Spotlight FX isn’t just a new UI, it’s a way to actually use your tools the moment you need them. Pin your go-to scripts, search anything instantly, and organize everything in one focused place that lives inside your editing layout.
It’s built for real-world editing, where speed, clarity, and not breaking flow makes all the difference. One Place for All Your Tools.
Pin Your Most-Used Tools
Got a script you run on every project? Like the anchor point tool that adjusts multiple layers at once? Or that rename tool you use to clean up messy comps?
You can now pin those tools so they’re always right at the top.
Organize Tools Your Way
Once you’ve pinned them, you can drag tools into the order that makes the most sense for you. Whether that’s by project type, workflow steps, or just what you click the most.
Maybe you want your favorite looping script next to your easing presets. Or maybe you just want all your renamers, movers, and fit-to-comp tools grouped up top.
Whatever works for your brain, now works in the panel.
Quick Search, Right in Your Layout
There’s a search field built directly into the Toolbox panel. So if you need something specific, like the "Looper" script for a quick boomerang animation or that one-click language switch, you just type and it’s there.
This especially helps when you’re in the middle of editing and don’t want to break focus just to hunt down a tool. Now, you won’t have to.
What’s Actually in This Toolbox?
Quick side note, in case you haven’t explored this section before: the tools inside Spotlight FX are all about saving time on repetitive stuff.
You’ll find things like:
- Scripts that fix anchor points for multiple layers at once
- Looping tools for instant boomerang or seamless animations
- Renaming tools to clean up dozens of layers in one go
- Fit-to-comp tools for resizing footage across different aspect ratios
- Quick toggles for blend modes
- Changing the software language and much more...
They’re all built to skip the steps that slow you down, and now with the Toolbox, they’re easier to actually use in the moment.
Why We Built This
This one came from watching people use Spotlight FX on real projects. We made a panel that keeps everything visible, searchable, and customizable, without needing you to remember anything. It’s like having your editing assistant, but actually helpful.
