Wedding Reels : Everything You Need to Edit a Wedding Film

If you edit weddings, you know the drill. You have the footage, you have the song, and then you spend the next few hours hunting for the right title template, the right transition, the right overlay to make it feel like a proper film. Wedding Reels was built to fix that.

It's a collection inside Spotlight FX with everything a wedding edit needs, organized by category, ready to drop into your timeline.

Every Preview Is Now Wedding-Themed

This one took a while, but it was worth it.

Until now, every item in Wedding Reels showed a generic preview. A random clip, a random setting, nothing that actually looked like a wedding. You had to import something just to see if it fit the mood you were going for. That's a bad experience, and we knew it.

So we reshot every single preview in the collection using real wedding footage. Every transition, every text template, every overlay, every effect. What you see in the browser now is exactly what it looks like on a wedding edit. Warm tones, natural light, the right settings.

It sounds like a small thing, but when you're browsing 10 or 15 items trying to find the right one, seeing it in context makes every decision faster and more confident. You stop guessing and start picking.

Wedding Openers

First impressions matter. These are text-based opener templates built for the start of your film. Clean, elegant, and fully customizable. Change the names, the date, the location, and you're done.

Couple Info

Lower thirds and info cards for introducing the couple. Works great for documentary-style edits or any moment where you want to ground the viewer in who they're watching.

Vows and Quotes

Dedicated text templates for vows, readings, and meaningful quotes from the day. These are designed to sit on screen without competing with the footage. Subtle, readable, and styled for the moment.

Light Transitions

Soft, organic transitions built around light. Flares, blooms, gentle wipes. The kind of cuts that feel like the edit breathes rather than jumps. These work especially well between ceremony and reception footage.

Soft Moments

Effects designed for the quiet parts of a wedding film. The getting-ready shots, the first look, the candid moments between family. These effects add warmth and texture without overdoing it.

Atmospheric Effects

Snow, bokeh, dust, haze. Atmospheric overlays that add depth and mood to any scene. Drop one on top of your footage and the whole shot changes. These are the kind of details that separate a good wedding film from a great one.

Guest Cam

Viewfinder overlays that give footage a raw, personal feel. Perfect for guest footage, behind-the-scenes moments, or any shot where you want that handheld, in-the-moment energy.

Vintage Frames

Letterboxes and old camera frames that add a timeless quality to your edit. If you want your film to feel like it could have been shot on film, these are the ones to reach for.

Color Tones

Effects and LUTs built specifically for wedding footage. Warm, soft, and consistent. Apply one and your whole sequence starts to feel cohesive. These are not generic LUTs pulled from a pack. They were made with wedding skin tones and lighting in mind.

Analog Memories

Chromatic aberration, vignette, grain, and other analog-style effects. Use them subtly on individual clips or stack them for a full film look. These are the finishing touches that make a wedding film feel handcrafted.

Everything in Wedding Reels works in both Premiere Pro and After Effects. Double-click any item, it lands in your timeline, and you customize it from the Effects Panel without digging through compositions or sequences.
